CDOM, in conjunction with NPM, is presenting this opportunity for directors, cantors, choir members, and Instrumentalists of all types to spend a few days together at Our Lady Queen of Peace Retreat Center in Dancyville, TN. Our goal is to bring together a wide array of our diocesan musicians to share and enjoy each other’s company. This will provide an opportunity for each of us to build our relationships with one another and allow our Spirits to be fed and renewed.
Let us all spend time together in song, prayer, and camaraderie. Whether you play the organ or guitar, sing soprano or bass, direct or follow, we invite you to this special time for just those of us who do the dedicated work of fueling the songs for Holy Mass in our Diocese.
We’ll spend time in both corporate prayer and in breakout sessions for more specialized direction. We’ll form a choir and spend time singing together as one! And we will work together to keep our gaze focused on the One who holds us, the One who formed us, and the One whose name we lift in song.
Be sure to bring a notebook, pencil, and pen. Instrumentalists, please bring your ax. A few pianos will be on hand. Be sure to have comfortable footwear, and clothing will be casual.
We will begin with check-in at 4:00 PM on June 22, followed by Evening Prayer in the Chapel at 5:00 PM. We’ll have a few talks to build us up, along with an abundance of singing, playing, and fellowship! All activities will culminate in a final share message and dismissal mid-morning on June 24.
We are expecting a large number of musicians, so please register quickly to reserve your spot!
